Síndrome del túnel carpiano tratado con Aranea diadema

ResumenEl síndrome del túnel carpiano (STC) es un dolor neuropático por un síndrome de atrapamiento del nervio mediano en el túnel carpiano. El objetivo del presente trabajo es el tratamiento del STC hasta curación, mejoría o agravamiento. La metodología utilizada es la historia clínica detallada con una exploración basada fundamentalmente en el signo de Phalen, y pruebas complementarias como radiografía de ambas muñecas y electromiografía. En nuestra opinión es un buen método alternativo a otras terapias incluida la quirúrgica y sin riesgos de iatrogenia.

Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) occurs when the median nerve becomes compressed at the wrist, causing neuropathic pain. The aim of the present study was treatment of CTS until cure, improvement or worsening. The methodology used was detailed clinical history-taking with examination based mainly on Phalen's sign and complementary tests such as radiographs of both wrists and electromyography. In our opinion, this method is a good alternative to other treatments, including surgery, and carries no risk of iatrogeny.
