Utilization of the Tympanomastoid Fissure for Intraoperative Identification of the Facial Nerve: A Cadaver Study

The results showed that the tympanomastoid fissure is a close and predictable anatomic landmark that can be used to identify the facial nerve trunk intraoperatively.
