Fibromodulin, an Oxidative Stress-Sensitive Proteoglycan, Regulates the Fibrogenic Response to Liver Injury in Mice

Fibromodulin levels are increased in livers of patients with cirrhosis. Hepatic fibromodulin activates HSCs and promotes collagen I deposition, which leads to liver fibrosis in mice.
