Chemotherapy for advanced pancreatic adenocarcinoma in elderly patients (≥70 years of age): A retrospective cohort study at the National Center for Tumor Diseases Heidelberg

Overall, our older patients did not have an inferior outcome compared to the reported trial populations that included younger patients. Thus, palliative chemotherapy should be considered independently from chronological age, but the performance status should be carefully noticed. Second-line therapy should be considered for patients in good performance status after first progression.
