RésuméQuel que soit l’âge du patient ou la technique de fabrication utilisée, l’orthèse plantaire est médicalement indiquée pour traiter un patient qui souffre du membre inférieur, à point de départ plantaire, et si cette souffrance répond à l’une des finalités thérapeutiques ou fonctionnelles suivantes : antalgie par modification des charges plantaires, compensation anatomique ou fonctionnelle, stabilisation articulaire, détente tendino-musculaire ou aponévrotique, exclusion d’appui ou de frottement. Le respect de ces finalités conditionne l’efficacité de l’orthèse plantaire souvent potentialisée par un chaussage adapté. Leur prescription est soumise au respect du cahier des charges de la liste des produits et prestations remboursables pour une prise en charge par les organismes sociaux.

Such symptom should be part of the following therapeutic or functional fields: antalgic modification of plantar loads, anatomical or functional compensation, articular stabilization, tendinous, muscular or aponevrotic relaxing, exclusion from plantar support or friction. The respect of these conditions and appropriate footwear potentiate the good action of the orthosis. Their prescription is submitted to the respect for the specifications of the list of refundable products and services, for coverage by social welfare bodies.
