Decarbonization: Achieving near-total energy independence and near-total elimination of greenhouse emissions with available technologies

This paper presents a comprehensive plan for conversion, over a 30–50 year period, to available and affordable technological options that can accomplish the replacement of 98% of US fossil fuel needs and the reduction of 97% of present US CO2 emissions.
