Compressive myelopathy

Spinal cord compression (SCC) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality. This article describes a diverse group of conditions that the reader should be aware of, all of which can result in SCC. Approaches to management are discussed including emerging treatment paradigms. SCC continues to be a complex and challenging condition. Prompt recognition, treatment and rehabilitation results in improved outcomes.
