General paediatric urology

Genitourinary problems in childhood are common and present variably. Typically, genital and inguinoscrotal conditions present to the surgical specialities, whereas wetting and urinary infection present and are managed across the spectrum of primary, community and secondary healthcare services.Rarities, including stone disease, malignancy and congenital abnormalities are seen from time to time, and some are included because of their important despite infrequent presentation.This article focuses on presentations of genitourinary problems of childhood and their contemporary management.
