Common lower limb injuries in children

The clinical evaluation and management of lower limb injuries in children are of importance because of the high incidence of trauma in this population. Although many of the fracture patterns and principles of treatment are similar to those in adults, notable differences exist and these will be highlighted. The features of common lower limb trauma and their treatment in children will also be described.
