Arthrite gléno-humérale à salmonella enteritidis

RésuméNous rapportons le premier cas d’arthrite gléno-humérale à Salmonella enteritidis chez une femme de 86 ans immunocompétente. La patiente ne présentait pas cliniquement de porte d’entrée évidente. Une antibiothérapie probabiliste puis adaptée aux prélèvements a été instaurée. Devant la persistance de la symptomatologie, il a été décidé de réaliser une arthroscopie à 72 heures pour effectuer un lavage articulaire associé à une synovectomie. Les suites opératoires ont été simples puisque l’apyrexie a été obtenue en 72 heures et le syndrome inflammatoire biologique normalisé en 12 jours. La patiente a été revue régulièrement jusqu’au troisième mois. Elle ne présentait aucune séquelle clinique. Son omarthrose préexistante est restée stable pendant tout le suivi.

We report the first case of glenohumeral Salmonella arthritis in an immunocompetent 86-year-old woman. There was no entry point. An empirical antibiotherapy was started then adapted according to culture results. Given the persistence of symptoms, an arthroscopy was performed at 72 hours for a joint lavage and synovectomy. Postoperative course was good. Apyrexia was obtained by 72 hours and inflammatory syndrome was normalized in 12 days. The patient was reviewed regularly until the 3rd month. She has no clinical sequelae. Her osteoarthritis remained stable throughout follow-up.
