SummaryHere, we describe the current status of navigation systems used in anterior cruciate ligament surgery. Various systems of navigation are available; we use the Orthopilot system and the Praxim system daily. The goal of navigation is to help the surgeon to place the tibial and femoral tunnels in the correct position before drilling takes place. Thus, the ultimate goal is better positioning and isometry of the ligament graft in order to decrease the risk of adverse outcomes.
