Shortening and secondary relengthening for chronically infected tibial pseudarthroses with poor soft tissues

Despite the high rate of complications, our treatment method enabled limb salvage for patients who had previously been candidates for amputation. With this treatment, there is less need for a second operation, and an additional operation is not necessary for soft tissue coverage.
