Surprisingly, this study demonstrated result contradicting the initial hypothesis. Our finding showed that the local toxicity of anesthetic blocks did not have a negative clinical impact on muscle force, but that there was a positive effect on the quality of quadriceps recovery during the time studied. The conclusions of this retrospective preliminary study, with the resulting methodological limitations, must be re-evaluated with other work.
