Compression du nerf suprascapulaire chez le sportif : découvertes anatomiques et imagerie dans une série de dix cas opérés

Supra scapular nerve entrapment in young sports people has been studied looking at the anatomical findings in ten operated cases. There were many variations especially at the supra scapular notch concerning the superior transverse scapular ligament, the nerve and vessels that could explain the painful and sudden symptomatology after physical training or sports - related injury. The review of the literature in the last years has confirmed the responsibility of ligament, vessels and muscles variations in many cases and the place of the spinoglenoïd notch is discussed. A new contribution of magnetic resonance imaging for the diagnosis has been emphasized with much more precise informations on muscular lesions and anatomical structures. Then, results of the simple posterior approach was always good for pain but less for muscle weakness - particularly for the infra spinatus - according to the operative delay.
