Deformidad de Sprengel con hueso omovertebral asociado

Sprengel's deformity or high scapula is a rare congenital abnormality that causes asymmetry of the shoulder or scapular region. Its diagnosis depends on the degree of deformity and loss of articular mobility it causes, which may range from very mild to severe. We present the case of a 12-year old female patient referred to rule out scoliosis due to the existence of scapular asymmetry and minimum elevation of the left shoulder. In the radiological study requested, the presence of a bone density image was fortuitously detected between the cervical spine and the left scapula that corresponded to an omovertebral bone, in addition to a spinal deformity with two mild curves.
