The liposclerosing myxofibrous tumor is a rare condition. Its presence may be suspected when the X-ray reveals a lytic lesion, with variable sclerotic margins, lodged in the femoral epiphysis or proximal shaft. There is no unanimous acceptance of this entity in the literature, with some authors claiming that it could be a variant of fibrous dysplasia.
