Actualización en el tratamiento del hallux rigidus

ObjetivoEl objetivo de esta publicación es realizar una propuesta de tratamiento para el hallux rigidus.Material y métodoPara ello nos basamos en la clasificación propuesta por Regnauld que distingue tres estadios, en función de la afectación clínica y radiológica.ConclusionesEn el primero el tratamiento indicado son las modificaciones en el calzado, las ortesis plantares y las infiltraciones intraarticulares. Para el segundo estadio es recomendable una cirugía conservadora como la queilectomía y las osteotomías a nivel de la falange y del metatarsiano. Finalmente, en el último estadio se proponen tres técnicas: la artrodesis, la resección-artroplastia y la prótesis metatarsofalángica.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to make a proposal for the treatment of hallux rigidus.Materials and methodsTo do this we used the classification proposed by Regnauld, which distinguishes three stages, according to clinical and radiological involvement.ConclusionsIn the first of these, the treatment indicated is a change in footwear, plantar splints and intraarticular inflitrations. For the second stage, conservative surgery is recommended such as cheilectomy and osteotomies at the level of the phalanx and the metatarsal.Finally, three techniques are proposed for the third stage: arthrodesis, resection-arthroplasty and a metatarsophalangeal prosthesis.
