The Current Status of Fresh Osteochondral Allograft Transplantation for Ankle Arthritis

The use of fresh osteochondral allografts for total ankle replacement has been sporadically reported in the literature. Survival rates at <3 year follow-up range from 52% to 100%. The objective of this article is to review the current literature describing ankle transplantation with regards to indications, surgical technique, rehabilitation, and clinical outcomes.
