Statistics for paediatricians

Why might the average paediatrician need to get involved in understanding statistics? What do they need to know? Are there simple rules that can be followed in determining the appropriate analyses? Where can help be found?These are the questions that we aim to answer in this short review of how to design and analyse research studies.
