Wilms tumour – the surgical issues

Complete surgical excision is an essential component of the management of Wilms tumour. With successful surgery, complications should be below 10% and overall survival over 90%. Such surgery may be challenging and should be concentrated to those few surgeons in the UK who perform more than five or six cases per year.
