Although Wunderlich's syndrome is rare, it should be considered in patients with clinical symptoms of severe abdominal or lumbar pain, hypotension and/or haematuria. Depending on the clinical spectrum, it could be a life threatening condition, even more so in pregnant women, and taking into account that conservative management may be used, ensuring foetal well-being.
