Sensorimotor gating and memory deficits in an APP/PS1 double transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer's disease

► APP/PS1 double transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer's disease (AD) was used. ► Sensorimotor gating was measured by prepulse inhibition test in AD mice. ► Prepulse inhibition was impaired in the 7- and 22-month-old AD mice. ► Memory impairment in the 7-month-old AD mice was detected in a water maze test. ► Sensorimotor gating in AD mice is impaired with the progressing of AD phenotype.
