Patterned expression of ion channel genes in mouse dorsal raphe nucleus determined with the Allen Mouse Brain Atlas

► We used the Allen Mouse Brain Atlas to identify ion channel genes expressed in the dorsal raphe nucleus. ► We focused on genes that were expressed in subsets of cells. ► Ligand-gated channels were more often identified then voltage-gated channels. ► The results help understand the variation in membrane properties of dorsal raphe neurons.
