Enantioselective hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids in fixed-bed reactor

The enantioselective hydrogenation of α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acids has been studied over cinchona alkaloid-modified alumina supported Pd catalyst in a high-pressure continuous-flow system using a fixed-bed reactor. Enantioselectivities close to those obtained in batch reactor were achieved.
