The effects of nicotine on nitric oxide induced anxiogenic-like behaviors in the dorsal hippocampus

► High dose of nicotine induced anxiety. ► Both l-arginine and l-NAME have anxiogenic effect in dorsal hippocampus. ► Low dose of nicotine inhibited anxiogenic effect induced by l-arginine or l-NAME.
