Electrophysiological correlates of processing facial attractiveness and its influence on cooperative behavior

► We explored the temporal features of processing facial attractiveness under a social context. ► The present study demonstrated the automatic processing of facial attractiveness indexed by P2 amplitude. ► This is the first time to explore the influence of facial attractiveness on cooperative behavior by using ERP measure. ► The present study demonstrated that facial attractiveness could facilitate cooperative behavior indexed by FRN amplitude.
