Studies of protein aggregation in A53T α-synuclein transgenic, Tg2576 transgenic, and P246L presenilin-1 knock-in cross bred mice

► Affects of Aβ amyloid on the formation of α-synuclein aggregation was studied in mice. ► Double M83/Tg2576 and triple M83/Tg2576/P246L presenilin-1 mice were generated. ► Mice were evaluated for Aβ and α-synuclein pathology. ► Hyperphosphorylated α-synuclein dystrophic neurites accumulated within Aβ plaques. ► No further α-synuclein pathologies were observed.
