Oto-endoscopy: A reliable and validated technique for phenotyping otitis media in the mouse

► Current phenotyping screens to identify mouse models of otitis media are not robust. ► We demonstrate that murine oto-endoscopy is quick and without complication. ► We also show oto-endoscopy to be a reliable and valid measure of otitis media. ► Potential applications include as a phenotype screen, or to monitor disease.
