Impact of climate change on water management in Dutch peat polders

► A water quantity and quality model was developed to determine climate change impacts. ► The model was run for the moderate G scenario and the extreme W+ scenario. ► Surface water levels did not change much in both scenarios. ► Groundwater levels decreased substantially in the W+ scenario. ► W+ scenario led to higher nitrogen concentrations and lower phosphorus concentrations.
