Image processing techniques that involve multispectral remotely sensed data are considered very attractive for bathymetry applications as they provide a time cost-effective and efficient solution to water depths estimation. In this paper the potential of 4-bands image acquired by IRS-1C/1D LISS-III Sensor satellite in providing precise depth measurements was investigated by radiative transfer equations that are used to derive water depth from remotely sensed data. These techniques are linear in nature hence named linear radiative transfer Bathymetry models. Some of the linear equation of Philpot and Jupp showed very promising results. These result or in the other words these multispectral image information is integrated with available echo sounding and GPS data for the determination of the depth in the area of interest.
