Deposition of heavy metals from particulate settleable matter in soils of an industrialised area

► Deposition of heavy metals is associated with the rainfall periods in the study area. ► Heavy metal content in settleable particulate shows a high seasonal variability. ► In the ceramic area the soil pollution produced by heavy metals is more light. ► Areas affected by mining and cement factories have soils most polluted by heavy metals. ► Valid methodology to study other zones with the same problem of pollution.
