Precise detection of L. monocytogenes hitting its highly conserved region possessing several specific antibody binding sites

► ActA, a surface protein, helps Listeria monocytogenes infection spread in host. ► The protein was analyzed in silico from antigenic detection point of view. ► A highly conserved specific antigenic region within ActA sequence was introduced. ► The region is suitable for an antibody-antigen based L. monocytogenes detection kit.
