Effects of dispersion of fiber orientation on the mechanical property of the arterial wall

► We extend the finite deformation hyper-elastic model to study the mechanical property of the arterial wall. ► We investigate the effect of dispersion of the fiber orientations on the mechanical property of arterial wall. ► It is shown that the stability of the arterial wall in health and disease are different.
