Differential response of dwarf and tall tropical wheat cultivars to elevated ozone with and without carbon dioxide enrichment: Growth, yield and grain quality

► Elevated O3 was detrimental to growth, yield and quality of wheat cultivars. ► Growth and yield of wheat cultivars enhanced under CO2 enrichment. ► Wheat cultivars showed contrasting response against individual treatments of CO2 and O3. ► In combination, elevated CO2 alleviated the negative effects of elevated O3. ► Against elevated O3, dwarf cultivar of wheat was more sensitive than the taller one.
