Susceptibility of different life stages of saw-toothed grain beetle Oryzaephilus surinamensis (L.) (Coleoptera: Silvanidae) to modified atmospheres enriched with carbon dioxide

► Modified atmospheres enriched with CO2 were applied against Oryzaephilus surinamensis stages. ► Larvae and adults were more sensitive while eggs and pupae were more tolerant. ► Two days were adequate to kill larvae and adults with each of the CA. ► Four days were needed to control all eggs and pupae with 75% or 85% CO2, respectively.
