Transient analysis for fluid injection into a dome reservoir

► A new model is developed for describing head distribution in a dome reservoir. ► Head contours show significant vertical flow near step change of the dome reservoir. ► Hydraulic conductivity is the most sensitive parameter to injection rate. ► The thickness of dome reservoir has a significant effect on injection rate. ► The location of step change has no effect on injection rate as fixed dome volume.
