Occurrence of landsliding on slopes where flowsliding had previously occurred: An investigation in a loess platform, North-west China

► Loess landslides are a recurring problem in South Jingyang platform. ► It shows that shear stress and water content in the later slope were increased. ► Wetting tests and constant water content tests were performed. ► Wetting-process was revealed by transient-state simulation. ► A slope evolution model was proposed.
