The semi-algebraicity of the Uhlenbeck compactification of S4 instanton moduli spaces

We prove that the subspaces defined by scale and mass-centering condition of the Uhlenbeck compactification of the moduli space of anti-self-dual SU(r) connections on S4 admit the structure of a semi-algebraic set and thus are Whitney stratified spaces.
