A new mechanical algorithm for solving the second kind of Fredholm integral equation

Integral equation has been one of principal tool of various areas of applied mathematics, physics and engineering. In this paper, by using the theories and methods of mathematical analysis and computer algebra, a reliable algorithm for solving the second kind of Fredholm integral equation is established, and a mechanical Maple algorithm fredholmproc is established, too. The algorithm can provide the continuous solution of the second kind of Fredholm integral equation. Ten examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency and accuracy of the algorithm. This will be useful for solving the integral equation.
