A Late Pleistocene-Holocene wetland megafan in the Brazilian Amazonia

► There is still an incomplete development of megafan facies model. ► We provide the characterization of a megafan from a northern Amazonia wetlands. ► The fan-shaped morphology is dominated by channel and overbank deposits. ► This example can serve as a good analog of megafans from tropical wetlands. ► The megafan formed due to mild subsidence combined with a monsoon climatic regime.
