► The Miocene Nullarbor Limestone is composed of subtropical skeletal carbonates. ► Deposition occurred in shallow marine environments of a broad epeiric platform/ramp. ► Paleoenvironments included seagrass banks, rhodolith gravels and open seafloors. ► This unit likely represents back-reef facies of a proposed Miocene barrier reef. ► Including the reef, this is the largest Miocene carbonate system ever described.
