Heavy mineral sorting in downwards injected Palaeocene sandstone, Siri Canyon, Danish North Sea

►Injectite complexes were interpreted from Palaeocene Siri Canyon Danish North Sea borehole data. ►Injected and in situ deep marine sandstones show differential heavy mineral sorting. ►HM sorting patterns differentiate deep marine in situ sandstones from injected correlatives. ►Differences could be revealed by detailed whole rock geochemistry.
