Vetlugospermum and Vetlugospermaceae: A new genus and family of peltasperms from the Lower Triassic of Moscow syneclise (Russia)

A new genus and species, Vetlugospermum rombicum, belonging to the peltaspermalean gymnosperms is described. Vetlugospermum nov. gen. and Navipelta are placed into the new family Vetlugospermaceae. General problems of peltasperm systematics and relationships between the different genera from the Permian and Triassic are discussed.
