Planktic foraminifera-based sea-surface temperature record in the Tasman Sea and history of the Subtropical Front around New Zealand, over the last one million years

► First record of foram-based sea-surface temperature estimates extending back 1 myr for Tasman Sea. ► G-I cycles in MPT had 9 ºC range and 6-7 ºC range post-MPT. ► The Subtropical Front migrated 6º of latitude N in MPT glacials and 3-5º N in post-MPT glacials. ► Subtropical Water only flowed S around New Zealand during MIS11 and MIS5-1.
