Synthesis of a novel π-extended hybrid rhodamine dye with far-red fluorescence emission and its application in bioimaging

A novel π-extended fluorescent dye NCR with far-red emission has been efficiently synthesized by hybridizing naphthocoumarin and rhodamine moieties. Based on this dye, a new fluorescent probe NCR-Cu has been developed for Cu2+.139
