Parametric analyses of major nuclear components and reinforced concrete structures under FCI-induced explosive condition
چکیده انگلیسی
Even though extensive researches have been performed for steam explosion, due to its complex phenomenon and inherent uncertainties, establishment of optimum severe accident management guideline and strategy is still one of state-of-the arts in nuclear industry. The goal of this research is primarily to examine applicability of coupled analysis with trinitrotoluene model under a typical fuel-coolant interaction-induced explosive condition. In this context, Jones-Wilkins-Lee equation of state was employed and relevant parameters were calibrated through trial and error technique. Parametric coupled FE (Finite Element) analyses employing four concrete yield criteria and structural assessment were also carried out to investigate behaviors of major components and reinforced concrete structures in a nuclear power plant. As a result, almost same maximum pressures were calculated comparable to those obtained from a complicate sequential FE analyses suggested by the authors. Among the concrete yield criteria, CDP (Concrete Damage Plasticity) model provided the highest stress and strain values. Also, it was proven that the major components and reinforced concrete structures sustained their intended function as pressure boundaries in all parametric analysis cases.
