A novel SnO2/chitosan (CHIT) nanocomposite modified glassy carbon electrode has been successfully fabricated for simultaneous determination of ascorbic acid (AA), Dopamine (DA), and uric acid (UA) via cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The structure and morphology of SnO2/CHIT nanocomposite was characterized by UV-visible-spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED) and BET-surface area techniques. The modified GCE exhibits potential electron mediating behavior than bare electrode. The ternary mixture containing AA, DA and UA could be well separated from each other at a scan rate of 0.050 V with potential difference of 0.168 V, 0.326 V and 0.612 V in CV, 0.178 V, 0.337 V and 0.592 V in DPV between AA and DA, DA and UA, UA and AA, respectively. DPV studies shows that there is a linear relationship between the peak current and concentration in the concentration range of 20-220 µM for AA, 1-18 µM for DA, and 1-100 µM for UA, with the detection limits (S/N =â3) of 6.45 µM, 0.77 µM and 0.89 µM for AA, DA and UA, respectively. The proposed method was applied for the simultaneous determination of AA, DA and UA, in real samples.
