Organic-inorganic composite membrane based on sulfonated poly (arylene ether ketone sulfone) with excellent long-term stability for proton exchange membrane fuel cells

Organic-inorganic composite membranes are prepared by introducing PWA-IL into SPAEKS matrix. The red color lines presents “Grotthuss mechanism transmission channel” and the blue color lines presents “vehicular mechanism transmission channel”，which work together just as “walk by two legs”. The PWA-IL contained in polymer mixture also weak methanol penetration by bulky effects. Under the joint efforts, high proton conductivity (0.127 S cm−1) under fully hydrated conditions at 80 °C is obtained.367
