Removal of mercury(II) and cadmium(II) ions from synthetic wastewater by a newly synthesized amino and thiolated multi-walled carbon nanotubes

111The unique structure of newly synthesized thiolated carbon nanotubes made it suitable for adsorption of mercury from aqueous solution. The competition mercury and cadmium for adsorption onto this thiolated carbon nanotubes, interestingly has been debated.
