The impact of wrapping method and reflector type on the performance of rod plastic scintillators

This research paper revolves around, the effect of the reflector type and its applying method on the output of the rod shaped plastic scintillators. This effect is more considerable in the case of the rod plastic scintillators because of their larger dimensions compared to other types of scintillators. The experiments were repeated for 4 different reflectors, namely aluminum metallized Mylar, white paper, titanium dioxide and aluminum foil tape. The spectral responses of the scintillators for the mentioned reflectors were assessed in the presence of 60Co and 137Cs gamma sources.
